This is downtown's romantic little quarter. Lunch at the kalguksu house first, then walk the Deoksugung stone-wall path from the Seoul Museum of Art through Jeong-dong to the palace, browsing as you go. Save it for an afternoon with good weather; Monday shuts the palace and both museums, and two of the three Jeong-dong craft floors rest on Sundays. When the walking's done, sit down for tea or bingsu in a modern take on the old dabang.
